How Brief uses AI to produce audio content — notice pursuant to Article 50 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689

Brief turns documents and written content into natural-sounding audio using artificial intelligence. We believe the use of AI should be transparent: this page explains how we produce audio content, who is responsible for it, and how you can recognise it.

Content is produced with artificial intelligence

Audio published through Brief is generated, in whole or in part, using artificial intelligence: the text is rewritten for listening and the voice is synthetic, not recorded by a person.

Every piece of content goes through human review

Before publication, every piece of content is reviewed by a person, who checks its accuracy, tone and compliance. No content is published automatically without this step: it is the governance principle the platform is built on..

Who is responsible for the content

Brief provides the platform and the tools. When a client organisation publishes content on its own channels, that organisation reviews the content and holds editorial responsibility for what it publishes. The demonstration channels on the Brief app are, instead, curated and published directly by Brief.

How to recognise AI-generated content

Audio files produced by Brief are marked so that they can be recognised as AI-generated, including by automated tools, in line with the obligations of the AI Act. Where published, content is also indicated as generated with artificial intelligence.

When you interact with AI

When you use Brief's conversational features to create content, you are interacting with an artificial intelligence system.

Real voices and people

Brief does not reproduce the voice or identity of real people so as to make them appear authentic without the necessary authorisations and without clearly disclosing it.
